Job Description:

We are seeking a self-driven Data/Pipeline Engineer with a strong background in building scalable batch and streaming data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly in developing solutions using Dataflow, BigQuery, Java, and Python. Familiarity with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow is essential. 

In this role, you will serve as the anchor engineer for a team focused on creating generic pipeline capabilities that are leveraged across Cotality. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing reusable, robust, and efficient data processing frameworks that support a wide range of business applications.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and apply standards and best in class technologies to meet business objectives on technology projects, evaluating impact on integration, reliability, performance, scalability, flexibility and maintainability.
  • Translate and document business objectives and processes into solution architecture and technical requirements that align with key business requirements and business strategy, ensuring that the solution architecture identified will support the business objectives and strikes the appropriate balance between practical designs and implementation with architectural vision and technology strategy.
  • Provide technical guidance & counsel to project and support teams to ensure alignment of solutions to business and IT strategies and is responsible for developing and presenting design artifacts to audiences within the business and technology teams.
  • Identify problems, anticipate effects across business segments, research best practice alternatives, prepares presentations, drive solutions, test to confirm, gain consensus from a broad business community. Drive implementation.
  • Provide industry and domain specific architectural best practices, perspectives and consultation to business and IS/IT leadership
  • Assess the impact of new solutions on the integrity of the solution architecture and ensure that the projects in the business portfolios comply with Solution Architecture standards.
  • Participate in and supports enterprise wide technology initiatives to mitigate crises.
  • Participate in team meetings, complete status reports, attend functional meetings and other administrative tasks.

Job Qualifications:

  • BS Degree or equivalent work experience in a software engineering discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in an IT area with solid demonstrated experience in data architecture, integrating and analyzing disparate data sources, and data quality improvement, preferably in the mortgage or real estate industry
  • Solid understanding of data modeling techniques to drive technology optimization, data consolidation and technology strategy recommendations.
  • Strong understanding and vision of the complete lifecycle of database, data warehouse and datamart development.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture functioning for driving data and information related governance and strategy in the organization and highly skilled in developing data architectures and standards.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues related to enterprise-wide data architecture concerns
  • Ability to architect data management enterprise solutions that are in alignment with strategic technology roadmap and emerging industry trends.
  • Proficient with data modeling tool(s).Experience in various SQL and NoSQL technologies
  • Hands on experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP)

Experience with the following tools and technologies:

  • Python, PySpark
  • Hadoop, Spark, Elastic Search
  • Experience in various databases and big data technologies
  • Google Cloud DataFlow/ Apache Beam, AirFlow
  • Ability to develop and write technical specifications.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; Organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong communication skills and interest in pair programming environment
  • Ability to mentor and educate development teams on technical and architectural approaches.
  •  Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills
  • Domain specific industry experience in Real Estate, Insurance, or Mortgage a plus

Annual Pay Range:

135,300 - 160,000 USD
