We are seeking a Principal Cloud Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Azure Cloud and strong working knowledge of AWS. This leader will architect, build, and evolve our cloud Platform‑as‑a‑Product, including deployment architecture, Platform‑as‑Code (PaC), and enterprise-grade CI/CD deployment pipelines.
This role will define the technical vision for a scalable self‑serve cloud platform and provide expert-level guidance to engineers building automated, secure, compliant, and resilient environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture of the Azure cloud platform, ensuring scalable and secure landing zones, automated provisioning, and best‑practice governance.
- Own and evolve Platform-as-Code (PaC) frameworks for infrastructure, identity, networking, and guardrails (Azure-focused; AWS optional).
- Design and implement deployment pipelines supporting multi-environment delivery, including standardized GitHub Actions, ADO, or Jenkins workflows.
- Act as the principal technical authority for Azure platform engineering, including automation standards, cloud patterns, and reusable components.
- Build foundational modules/components enabling a self‑serve platform experience for application and data teams.
- Collaborate with security, networking, and DevOps teams to ensure enterprise-grade compliance and operational excellence.
- Handon development of various deployment patterns and self-serve modules.
- Provide technical mentorship to mid‑level and junior engineers.
- Drive cloud platform innovation through modern tooling, IaC best practices, governance automation, and inner-source contributions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in cloud engineering/DevOps/Platform engineering roles.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Azure (compute, networking, identity, storage, security, policy, AKS, pipelines).
- Professional exposure to AWS (IAM, EC2, VPC, ECS/EKS, CDK, etc.).
- Strong programming skills with TypeScript or Node.js; advanced Python also acceptable.
- Hands-on experience with Containers (Docker) and Orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS).
- Strong background in IaC and PaC using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi, CDK, or similar.
- Expertise building and operating CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Proven experience designing multi-tenant, secure, enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
- Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer Expert certifications.
- Experience building enterprise self‑service cloud platforms.
- Architecture experience across networking, security, compliance, and governance.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
