YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries related to our Cloud product.
- Provide direct support and assistance to the Director of Cloud Engineering, contributing to the strategic direction and execution of our Cloud initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap for our Cloud product, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs.
- Establish and promote best practices in billing methodologies, queuing systems, and other technical aspects of our Cloud platform.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers within the team, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Cultivate a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the organization, encouraging the exchange of ideas and expertise.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, following reference architectures and leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation within our Cloud offerings.
- Lead R&D efforts to evaluate and invest in new hardware technologies, assessing their potential impact on our Cloud infrastructure and services.
- Create and deliver public-facing technical content, such as webinars, blog posts, and presentations, to showcase our Cloud capabilities and thought leadership in the industry.
WHAT YOU ARE EXPECTED TO BRING
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in classic software development, with a proven track record of success in the cloud business domain.
- Extensive expertise in working with public hyperscalers, demonstrating a deep understanding of their platforms, services, and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with prior experience in leading technical teams and driving complex projects to successful outcomes.
- An agile mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
