About the Role:

As the Principal Google Analytics Developer, you will lead the charge in architecting sophisticated solutions to optimize website development, drive organic traffic growth, and empower data-driven decision-making within the Google ecosystem. Your extensive expertise will be instrumental in elevating the company's digital presence through advanced website development strategies, meticulous mobile app instrumentation, and strategic data engineering initiatives. Operating at a senior level, you will spearhead the creation and execution of comprehensive optimization strategies, including SEO enhancement, link building, and content marketing, while providing strategic guidance to internal teams. With a focus on innovation and excellence, you will design and implement reusable architectures, develop custom analytics web applications, and incubate cutting-edge ideas to propel the company forward in the digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of advanced solutions to streamline website development processes, enhance search engine visibility, and optimize user experience.
  • Drive the development and execution of comprehensive optimization strategies to increase website search engine rankings, drive organic traffic growth, and maximize online visibility.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to internal teams on SEO principles, link-building strategies, and content marketing initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • Champion meticulous mobile app instrumentation efforts to capture critical data points and user interactions for comprehensive analysis and optimization.
  • Design and implement reusable architectures and best practices for data acquisition, movement, quality assurance, and database design to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage complex data engineering workstreams, including data acquisition pipelines, ETL processes, data quality assurance, and database performance tuning.
  • Develop and deploy custom analytics web applications, including APIs, user interfaces, and interactive visualizations, to empower stakeholders with actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, prioritize initiatives, and deliver high-impact solutions in a timely manner.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by incubating, prototyping, and iterating on new ideas to bring transformative solutions to production.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance, expertise, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
  • This position is part of the Central Data Office, within the Data Engineering and Architecture team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in website development, mobile app instrumentation, and data engineering within the Google ecosystem, with a proven track record of success in senior-level roles.
  • Deep expertise in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SEO principles, link-building strategies, and content marketing techniques, with a strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts including data acquisition, movement, quality assurance, and database design and optimization.
  • Expertise in developing custom analytics web applications, APIs, and interactive visualizations using advanced tools and technologies within the Google ecosystem.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement in all aspects of the role.
  • Certification in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or related Google tools is a plus.
