As a Prime Synthetics Trading Analyst/Associate within the Prime Brokerage team, you will work directly with senior traders to support equity finance products and contribute to the development of our Synthetics platform. You will play a key role in managing risk, liquidity, and exposure, while providing clients with accurate product information and market insights. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-energy environment and to develop your skills in trade analysis, strategy design, and client service. You will help shape the client experience and contribute to the team's success through proactive problem-solving and knowledge sharing.
Job responsibilities
- Support day-to-day client requests and needs in a fast-paced trading environment
- Assist senior traders in covering equity finance products and developing Synthetics offerings
- Manage risk, liquidity, and exposure across the trading desk
- Conduct pre-trade analysis and design optimal strategies for large trades
- Track supply and demand, evaluate market developments, and provide accurate product information to clients
- Independently resolve P&L reconciliation issues and monitor risk exposures (FX, Rho, equity delta)
- Ensure all relevant parties are informed of key developments and provide solution-based frameworks
- Contribute to platform and client experience improvements from front to back
- Build trust with clients and internal stakeholders by understanding their needs and being responsive
- Ensure accuracy of post-trade entries and adherence to internal controls
- Share information, knowledge, and ideas to help others succeed
- Play an active role in training and developing junior team members
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial markets, trading environments, or a related field
- Proficiency in Python coding required for data analysis and automation tasks
- Ability to analyze market drivers, moves, and cross-asset implications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Understanding of risk management principles and internal controls
- Proactive approach to sharing information and improving processes
- Commitment to building client relationships and delivering high-quality service
- Ability to resolve reconciliation issues independently
- Willingness to participate in training, mentoring, and people initiatives
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior experience in Equities or Global Markets
- Familiarity with Synthetics products and strategies
- Experience with trade processing and post-trade activities
- Knowledge of global markets and liquidity management
- Experience working with internal stakeholders (Credit, Legal, Middle Office, Tax)
- Track record of contributing to team initiatives and knowledge sharing
