Job Description
We are seeking a Pricing Specialist to join our Capture and Proposal team. In this capacity, you are responsible for pricing government proposals to win new business and to maintain and grow current government contracts. You will serve as a SME, leveraging your knowledge of US Government contracting, including FAR/ DFARs experience, and closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compliant cost proposals.
In order to do this job well, you must have hawk-eyed attention to detail and passion for delivering compliant, professional-grade pricing proposals within rapid turn-around times. The ideal candidate can work cross-functionally throughout the organization to assemble the necessary information to deliver winning price proposals. You have the confidence to advise internal stakeholders pricing techniques and industry best practices.
This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Arlington, VA.
This role may require up to 10% travel
Scope of Responsibilties
- Prepare timely, high quality, detailed, and compliant cost proposals for government solicitations, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Ensure cost proposal complies with solicitation instructions, government regulations, corporate policies, FAR, and requirements specific to FFP contracts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and basis of estimates and translate them into a compliant cost proposal
- Participate in proposal planning and strategy meetings
- Organize cost proposals into the required format, and ensure all cost elements are accounted for, assumptions are documented, and necessary cross-referencing is included
- Coordinate with the contracts and go-to-market teams on proposal documents and responses to government proposal requests while adhering to deadlines and submission requirements
- Ensure consistent and accurate pricing information between cost proposals
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all pricing templates, proposal files, supporting documentation, and historical data
- Maintain and update proposal pricing templates for both internal and external useUpdate and maintain proposal tracking metrics
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, mathematical or related business field
- At least 3 years of directly related experience in proposal/pricing/cost development for Government contracts, and be familiar with FFP and T&M contracts/subcontracts
- Must be proficient in Word and PowerPoint, and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge and experience working with DCAA and DCMA
- Knowledge of US Government contracting, including FAR/ DFARs experience
- Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment
- Experience with IDIQ contracting with demonstrated and verifiable success in preparing pricing proposal responses
- Salesforce.com or similar CRM experience preferred
