Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales and Product Development, the Pricing Analyst is a strategic contributor responsible for designing and implementing pricing initiatives that drive profitability and strengthen market positioning. This role combines market intelligence, financial modeling, and cross-functional collaboration to develop and maintain competitive pricing structures.

The Pricing Analyst ensures alignment between pricing strategies and broader business goals, supports compliance efforts, and communicates pricing insights and updates across the organization. A key responsibility includes crafting pricing strategies and responses for Brodart bids and proposals, helping the company win business while maintaining margin integrity.

  • Design and execute comprehensive pricing strategies, including setting prices for new products, adjusting existing pricing structures, and managing overarching pricing policies.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to analyze customer needs, competitor pricing, and industry trends, ensuring data-driven pricing decisions.
  • Evaluate financial performance by reviewing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and forecasts to identify cost structures and uncover pricing opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, service, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as sales volume, revenue, and profitability to assess and refine pricing effectiveness.
  • Maintain and optimize pricing systems, databases, and tools to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Communicate pricing strategies and insights clearly to internal stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations and performance updates.
  • Develop communication materials such as scripts and messaging for pricing changes to ensure consistent and effective delivery.
  • Coordinate pricing updates with sales, service, and marketing teams, and when necessary, communicate changes directly to customers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a pricing analyst, financial analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with relational databases is a plus.
