Objectives
Produce quality parts, on time, the first time to meet or exceed our customer requirements, while supporting the Magna Employee's Charter and the policies and procedures of BGM.

1. Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.
2. Perform other duties as required.
3. Follows and supports and Magna's operating principles, including:

b. Abide by BGM policies and procedures as described in the most current version of the Team Member Handbook.

e. Safety First - Obey the plant's safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE at all times and immediately addressing all safety concerns. Promotes an environment where zero injuries are the expected standard.

g. Core values - Treat all team members equally, fairly, with dignity and respect without favoritism in accordance with company values.
h. Attend and participate in Team, Department, Plant-wide and any other meetings as required.
i. Conduct all activities in a professional manner and positive attitude with an emphasis on personal responsibility.
4. Ensure a quality product (measuring tools, part inspection and fixtures) and know and understand the quality procedures
5. Perform basic troubleshooting and setup (straighter, feeder and incidentals, conveyor, chutes)
6. Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes
7. Maintain accurate paperwork/production reports
8. Assist with developing set-up procedures
9. Ability to follow standard work instructions, quality procedures, IDS sheets, and customer specifications.
Qualifications
These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Team members will be required to possess the ability and aptitude to perform the duties proficiently.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Post-secondary education preferred, or related experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Operate standard office equipment preferred
- Basic understanding of press angles, feed angles, material/steel theory, die protection, pilot release, and basic order of press operations
Physical Demands
- Office and General factory environment
- Able to be flexible in hours of work on short notice in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)
- Possible Shift Work
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, and occasional bending and stooping.
- Ability to lift in excess of 40 pounds or more
