Netchannels is looking for a talented communications individual to join our Marketing Team focused on the Public Sector. The ideal candidate is an experienced public relations manager with outstanding understanding of program management and copywriting skills with a proven track record of delivering executive communications for the Public Sector.
A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and committed to meeting tight deadlines. Preference will be given to those with a past performances in high tech.

This position is located in Washington DC or Ralston.
NOTE: the government landscape is very different from the typical commercial audience and knowledge of the public sector is requirement.
Communications – Press Relations – Program Management – Event management

Overall Responsibilities:

  1. Build repeatable processes for communications engagement
  2. Provide project management support
  3. Compile information from various sources to develop and publish the newsletters
  4. Compile, synthesize, and complete weekly press snapshot every Friday
  5. Engage with Senior Leadership on a daily basis in order to execute processes
  6. Perform market research and internal analysis
  7. Take input from all stakeholders, feedback from board members, conducting interviews as needed
  8. Data collect, refine, and organize on executive communication (internal)
  9. Manage external communications including social media posts
  10. Manage and execute company events
Deliverables:
  1. Support the execution of complex projects or programs
  2. Create visual designs for executive content
  3. Take ownership in your projects and ability to prioritize against deadlines
  4. Develop and publish the newsletter
  5. Organize and manage townhalls
  6. Copywrite stories and press releases
Nice to Have Skills:
  1. Proficiency with Google’s suite of products
  2. Strong problem solving skills
  3. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Required Skills:
  • MUST: High Tech industry knowledge including Cloud and Public sector
  • 5+ years in technology Communications and Program Management
  • Experience amplifying content to IT decision makers preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree, and demonstrated work experience, in English, Marketing or communications, Press Relations or similar role; masters’ degree a plus
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to build compelling messages and storylines that align with personas, customer pain points, buyer’s journey stages, and brand voice and style
  • Experience doing research using multiple sources
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented professional that thrives in high-volume, high-velocity project environments
