Job Purpose
- The President of Methodist Medical Group (MMG) provides executive leadership for the strategy, growth, clinical and operational performance, physician and advanced practice provider enterprise, and financial stewardship of MMG in alignment with the Methodist Health System (MHS) mission and strategic priorities. The President establishes and communicates a compelling vision for MMG centered on distinguished quality, patient experience, safety, access, operational excellence, innovation, physician and employee engagement, and sustainable financial performance. The President leads the medical group through disciplined performance management, practice optimization, growth and network development, and the creation of a highly attractive practice environment for physicians and advanced practice providers. The President reports to the EVP & Chief Physician Executive (EVP & CPE) of MHS and is accountable for MMG's operating performance and execution of short- and long-range strategic objectives.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Advanced degree required, which can be either a M.D. or D.O. preferred; M.B.A., M.H.A., or other related advanced degree. Equivalent executive healthcare leadership experience may be considered as appropriate.
Work Experience:
- At least 10 years of progressive healthcare operational and executive leadership experience, preferably within a large, multi-specialty medical group or integrated health system.
