Direct Supervisor: Preschool Minister
Position Summary: The Preschool Ministry Associate will serve under the leadership of the Preschool Minister to assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing the Preschool Ministry at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. This ministry exists to plant biblical truths in the hearts of preschoolers and help them experience the joy of church. Additionally, we aim to equip parents to share the gospel in their homes and everywhere they go.

Responsibilities:
- Provide primary oversight to Worship Care; including volunteer recruitment, scheduling, volunteer support, curriculum management and Preschool Worship.
- Serve as one of the key relational leaders to Preschool Ministry moms and volunteers.
- Oversee Preschool Ministry Midweek; including recruitment, training, communication, and ministry programming.
- Oversee Mommy and Me Music; including recruitment for the role and outreach opportunities
- Play a primary role in planning and implementation of Preschool ministry events like Christmas in July and Parent Dedication.
- Oversee Preschool Ministry social media presence.
- Attend semi-monthly All Team meetings and Preschool Ministry staff meetings as scheduled.
- Perform other related duties that may benefit the church and/or Preschool Ministry as directed by the Preschool Minister or Executive leadership.

Shades Mountain Baptist Church is a nonprofit Baptist church in Birmingham/Vestavia Hills, Alabama. It centers its ministry on worship, Christian community, discipleship, prayer, evangelism, and local and global missions. The church’s stated mission is to leverage its people and resources for the gospel wherever it is called, while cooperating with the Southern Baptist Convention and teaching the doctrines of the Baptist Faith & Message.
