JOB SUMMARY: This role has an integral part in assisting with the Preschool Ministry efforts to drive towards the churchwide priority goals of helping people find truth, belonging, and purpose in Jesus. The primary focus of this position is in support of the Sunday morning Discipleship efforts within the Preschool age group. A typical Sunday will include a minimum of 5 hours work on campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Build a team of volunteers for Sunday Mornings
- Ensure that volunteer teachers are recruited and trained for Sunday morning programs.
- Communicate with leaders: orientation, training, weekly information, policies, events, etc.
- Create a Serving Schedule
- Ensure a volunteer teacher calendar is maintained.
- Minister to leaders in your care: contact when absent, assist with needs, pray for concerns.
- Supervision
- Coordinate facilities issues to ensure rooms are ready upon start and finish of programs.
- Actively supervise Sunday leadership to uphold policies and procedures.
- Foster a “people-first” approach to ministry: greeting families, contacting prospects,
- Supervise agency contracted caregivers.
- Attend coordinator meetings as requested by Preschool Minister.
- Assist in recruiting, planning and conducting age group related events (VBS, etc).
- Attend and actively participate in all scheduled ministry team meetings, church staff meetings, and required training sessions.
- Joyfully support the Senior Pastor, the Preschool Minister, and all other church staff in carrying out the mission of Johnson Ferry.
- Willingly accept additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- College degree preferred;
- Previous experience working in preschool setting a plus.
VI. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing and sitting. Sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments in all seasons.
- Must be able to lift 15-20 pounds at times.
