This role is to collaborate with the sales support or account team by acting as technical experts in customer presentations. In addition, the role is to determine the technical requirements to meet client goals and act as liaison between the organization’s sales/business development and engineering groups. The role is also responsible to requests for information or requests for proposals from customers, supplying the technical details of proposed solutions.
Pre-sales engineers then must coordinate the transition between pre-sales specifications and implementation engineering once contracts have been awarded.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide pre-sales technical support to sales team and to assist customers/channel partners on technical matters by proposing solutions and technical support to system integrators, developer and end-users.
· Project management for solutions i.e to handle projects and coordination among divisions
· Manage system integration i.e to plan and conduct technical workshop including programming, on-site technical support and provide good advice
· Actively engage with end user through effective communication to understand their needs and propose solutions accordingly
· Involve in product launch, including planning, demo and conducting product training
· Perform market analysis surveys in order to identify local market trends and needs to identify
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
· Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration
· Software skills
o MS Office (MUST)
o Basic networking understanding (MUST)
o Basic SOAP Interface understanding (Preferred)
o Basic DLL understanding (Preferred)
o C++ (Preferred)
o Java (Preferred)
o VB and VBA (Optional)
o Excel macro (Optional)
· Five years of industry experience, including two or more years in sales engineering or consulting
· Proven technology skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills
· Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities
· Positive, service-oriented personality
