Presales Solution Architect

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Presales Solution Architect to help customers solve their business and technical challenges through the right technology solutions. You will work closely with Sales and customers to understand their needs, design end-to-end cloud solutions, prepare technical proposals, and present solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has strong cloud and solution architecture knowledge, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a consultative mindset. You should be able to translate customer requirements into practical, scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions while supporting Sales throughout the presales process.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their business objectives, challenges, current technology landscape, and priorities.
• Conduct discovery sessions and technical workshops with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Identify functional and non-functional requirements, technical constraints, security considerations, and scalability needs.
• Challenge assumptions and recommend solutions based on business value rather than simply following requested technologies.
• Translate customer requirements into practical and achievable technology solutions.

• Design end-to-end cloud and digital solutions covering infrastructure, applications, integration, security, networking, data, and operations.
• Develop cloud architectures primarily using AWS, with exposure to Microsoft Azure being an advantage.
• Design modern application architectures using concepts such as microservices, APIs, containers, serverless, event-driven architecture, messaging, caching, and modern database technologies.
• Define architecture principles, technology choices, integration approaches, deployment models, and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure proposed solutions are scalable, highly available, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.
• Consider migration, disaster recovery, observability, backup, and operational requirements when designing solutions.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code and automation principles where appropriate.

• Work closely with Sales to qualify opportunities and shape technical solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution architectures, presentations, diagrams, statements of work, and other presales deliverables.
• Support RFPs, RFIs, tenders, workshops, technical demonstrations, and customer presentations.
• Respond to technical requirements and develop solution proposals within tight deadlines.
• Present and defend proposed solutions to customers and address technical questions or objections.
• Clearly communicate the value, benefits, assumptions, risks, and limitations of proposed solutions.
• Support Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from initial discovery through technical evaluation and deal closure.

• Present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Conduct architecture walkthroughs and solution demonstrations with customers.
• Build customer confidence by explaining how the proposed solution addresses their business challenges.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions are realistic and deliverable.
• Act as a bridge between customers, Sales, Product, and Delivery teams.

• Lead or support Proof of Concept (POC), prototype, and MVP activities when required to validate proposed solutions.
• Demonstrate the technical feasibility and business value of proposed architectures.
• Work with engineering and delivery teams to validate key technical assumptions and identify potential risks early.

• Stay current with cloud technologies, modern application architectures, DevOps, cybersecurity, AI, and emerging digital technologies.
• Understand emerging technologies such as Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and enterprise AI use cases well enough to participate in customer discussions.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend appropriate solutions based on customer requirements and business value.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, Solution Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Presales, Consulting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing cloud-based and end-to-end technology solutions, preferably with AWS.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, Kubernetes, high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud migration.
• Good understanding of modern application architecture, including microservices, APIs, containers, serverless, CI/CD, messaging, and database technologies.
• Experience in presales activities, such as customer discovery, solution proposals, RFPs/RFIs, technical workshops, and customer presentations.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused and consultative approach.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, or automation is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and enterprise AI solutions is an advantage.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, or other cloud certifications are an advantage.
