The hardware development team spans two global sites – one in Tel Aviv and one in Copenhagen. The team is responsible for all hardware within QM spanning from room-temperature control hardware to our cryogenic QPU carriers.
We are looking for a Practical Electronics Engineer / Elektronikfagtekniker to support the development, manufacturing, and operation of cryogenic hardware. In this role, you will focus on hands-on assembly, prototype manufacturing, hardware troubleshooting, and basic measurements, working closely with design and validation engineers to ensure reliable and timely execution of development and production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble electronic hardware prototypes and production units.
- Support manufacturing of products, including wiring, assembly, and integration of electronic subsystems.
- Perform hands-on debugging and immediate problem solving on hardware during development, testing, and manufacturing.
- Support bring-up, operation, and modification of test and validation setups.
- Perform basic electrical and RF measurements to support validation and troubleshooting activities.
- Execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Work closely with validation engineers, including preparation and execution of cryogenic tests.
- Implement hardware updates and modifications based on engineering input and test results in PDM.
- Maintain clear documentation of builds, modifications, and fixes.
- Support continuous improvement of assembly, bring-up, and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Practical background in electronics (e.g. Elektronikfagtekniker), electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Proven record in test execution and documentation based on test and validation plans.
- Strong hands-on experience with electronic assemblies.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues quickly and pragmatically.
- Experience working from schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Comfortable working in a laboratory or workshop environment.
- Self-driven, reliable, and able to manage tasks independently.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
