The PR & Media Relations Expert (m/f/d) supports Rentschler Biopharma’s external visibility and reputation across relevant regional, national and international media and stakeholder environments within the biopharmaceutical industry. The role is responsible for executing PR, media relations and external communications activities in alignment with the global communications strategy.
Tasks and responsibilities
PR & Media Relations
- Execution of PR and media relations activities aligned with the global communications strategy
- Building and maintaining relationships with relevant regional, national and international media, including trade, business and industry media
- Development and publication of press releases, press materials, articles and media interactions
Thought Leadership & Executive Visibility
- Supporting the positioning of senior leadership and experts in external media and industry environments
- Preparation and coordination of media engagements, interviews, external appearances and briefing materials
- Identification and evaluation of relevant media opportunities and external visibility formats
Partner, Industry and Stakeholder Communication
- Supporting communication activities related to strategic collaborations, partnerships, clusters and industry ecosystems
- Translating complex scientific and collaborative topics into clear external communication materials
- Supporting communication in sensitive or critical situations, including crisis communication activities
- Contributing to the evaluation and success measurement of PR and media activities
What is important to us
- University degree in communications, journalism, marketing, life sciences or a related field
- 15+ years of professional experience in public relations, media relations or corporate communications within the pharmaceutical, biotech or CDMO industry
- Proven experience working with regional, national and international media, including established relationships with relevant trade, business and industry media
- Demonstrated experience in executive communications support, reputation management and crisis communications in an international business environment
- Strong understanding of the biotech, pharmaceutical and CDMO ecosystem, including partnerships, industry dynamics and scientific communication requirements
- Ability to translate complex scientific and strategic topics into clear, credible and audience‑appropriate communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English, suitable for executive‑level and media communication
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization with internal and external stakeholders
- High level of professionalism, sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive topics and communications
- Structured, reliable and proactive working style with strong attention to quality and consistency

Skills Required
