As an Account Executive, you'll be a vital part of our client service team, developing foundational skills in communication, client service, and project management. You'll work closely with senior team members to support day-to-day activities, learn industry best practices, and contribute to successful client campaigns using social listening, data, and web analytics tools. We encourage you to bring your creativity, proactivity, and unique perspective to the role, drawing inspiration from your interests to develop fresh ideas.

CLIENT

  • Assist the team on day-to-day communication tasks, including media relations, digital content creation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Research and create interactive press releases, blogs, news stories, case studies and reports to a high standard in client format
  • Arrange interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists.
  • Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients.
  • Support on content creation; infographics and social media posts, demonstrating an understanding of the differences in style, tone and content
  • Assist with the logistics of client meetings, events and industry conferences, including booking rooms, preparing materials, and taking notes.
  • Support the team and have a good understanding of the importance of client service; ensure you have mastered the basics: quality control, quality of writing, meeting deadlines, excellent project management, understanding the client’s world they operate in (industry and company) etc.
  • Attend and contribute ideas in internal brainstorms across the agency
  • Gain an understanding and proficiency of what is possible using social listening, data and web analytics tools as well as what is required for these (time, queries, etc.). Learn how to conduct desk research and properly store data in Excel or data warehouses as appropriate. Understand the importance of tracking campaign performance and identifying key insights.
  • Reporting & Visualisation: Develop visually engaging reports and presentations to communicate data-driven insights effectively. Assist senior team members in creating data-driven stories for content marketing projects, ensuring key insights are highlighted.

COMMERCIAL

  • Assist the account team with administrative and financial functions of account handling and contribute to these
  • Track projects and timelines, flagging potential overages or deficits to the Account Manager
  • Shadow Account Manager in client meetings to gain an understanding of client budgets and billing processes.
  • Research new business opportunities within existing accounts and assist with the preparation of proposals, presentations, and supporting materials.
  • Ensure completion of timesheets weekly.

  • Passionate about storytelling; help develop compelling content ideas for clients.
  • Ability to flag key trends and insights, conduct basic social media audits, and express informed opinions on a client’s social media presence.
  • Collaborate with your Line Manager to identify relevant learning opportunities and create an individualised learning journey.
  • Actively participate in L&D sessions and proactively apply acquired knowledge in daily work.
  • Stay informed and educated on AI training; explore how AI can be utilised in your role, adhering to WPP guidelines and best practices.
