Objective of the position
Coordinate and manage customer PPAP submissions for engineering changes (and new product launches). Ensure compliance with AIAG PPAP and IATF 16949 requirements, review quality documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, capability studies), facilitate cross-functional communication, track approval status, and support successful product launches through timely PPAP approvals.
Characterization of activities
- Coordinate and manage engineering changes, and product transfers, ensuring timely completion and customer compliance.
- Develop and maintain PPAP schedules, driving cross-functional collaboration to meet submission deadlines.
- Collect, review, and compile PPAP documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC studies, dimensional results, material certifications, and PSWs.
- Maintain document control, revision management, and accurate records of PPAP submissions and approvals.
- Prepare and submit PPAP packages according to AIAG and customer-specific requirements, ensuring all required elements are complete.
- Track customer approvals, manage feedback and resubmissions, and serve as the primary contact for PPAP-related communication between customers and internal teams.
Education, Experience and Knowledge
- Vocation training or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- 0-3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, engineering, or automotive environments.
- Basic knowledge of quality tools such as PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC is preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage documentation, priorities, and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office, fluent in English, and eager to learn automotive quality standards and customer requirements.
