We are looking for a Data Engineer (Senior) who thrives in a tech first environment and wants to make a direct impact on systems handling millions of users and billions of transactions. This is not a junior or mid level role, we are looking for someone who can take ownership, build from scratch, and operate at senior level from day one.
As a Data Engineer (Senior), you will design and build a brand new data warehouse in Snowflake, a mission critical initiative for the business. You’ll work closely with the CTO, Data Analysts, and Engineering/DevOps teams. Short term focus: get the data warehouse live. Long term focus: enable scalable, data driven decision making across the company.
The role is for serious Data Engineers who want to build platforms from scratch, work with modern cloud/data tooling, operate at scale, and take real ownership. You will work in an environment where data is central to decision making, systems operate at massive scale, and your work has direct business impact.
Your Impact
• Design and build robust, scalable data pipelines (APIs, cloud, third-party systems)
• Own the data warehouse architecture from the ground up
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across systems
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform (must-have)
• Work with AWS services (must-have) to build scalable solutions
• Apply strong data modeling principles (star/snowflake schemas)
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enable analytics and business insights
Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
We are explicitly looking for candidates who meet ALL of the following:
• Minimum 5+ years experience in Data Engineering / Data Platform Engineering within a Fintech environment
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (MUST) (e.g. Athena, Kinesis, Lambda or similar services)
• Proven experience with Terraform (MUST)
• Experience with Snowflake (MUST)
• Strong programming experience in Python (MUST) (Airflow, PySpark or similar)
• Advanced SQL skills (including complex queries & window functions)
• Experience building data pipelines with APIs and third-party integrations
• Solid understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab)
• Ability to own and troubleshoot end to end data pipelines
