Our Yerkes location near Buffalo, NY is currently hiring for the position of Powerhouse Operator. As a Powerhouse Operator you will maintain and operate powerhouse equipment and act as the main driver, focal point, and subject matter expert for all aspects of water filtration at the site. This role operates on a rotating 12-hour schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION
Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:
· Repair and maintain machinery using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring and testing instruments.
· Engage in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machines and equipment necessitating pipefitting, millwright, and boilermaker skills.
· Monitor, maintain, and operate pumps, compressors, refrigeration, water treatment equipment and general powerhouse equipment.
· Work alone and make decisions independently when supervision is not available.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
· Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
· First Class Stationary Engineer License Required
· Must pass industrial operator aptitude test
· Must have valid driver's license required
