Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Supply Engineer to join our engineering team in Alexandria, Egypt. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and optimizing power supply systems, with a strong background in power electronics and power conversion technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, efficient, and innovative power solutions while ensuring compliance with international safety and quality standards. Experience in the railway or metro industry is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance AC-DC and DC-DC power supply systems, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and validation using industry-standard tools such as SPICE, LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent software.
  • Develop, test, validate, and troubleshoot power supply prototypes and production units to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, design specifications, calculations, BOMs, and test reports.
  • Select and evaluate power electronics components, including Power Management ICs (PMICs), magnetics, and passive components to optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to ensure proper component placement, routing, thermal management, and EMI/EMC performance.
  • Ensure all designs comply with international electrical safety and regulatory standards, including IEC, UL, and CE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in power electronics or power supply design.
  • Proven experience in the design and development of AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion systems.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, circuit theory, and electrical engineering principles.
  • Strong understanding of Power Management ICs (PMICs) and their applications.
  • Experience in testing, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting electronic power systems.
  • Familiarity with international electrical safety and regulatory standards, including IEC, UL, and CE.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
