We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Engineer with a strong background in programming, data integration, and dashboard creation. This role involves onboarding and integrating data from MongoDB into Power BI to support a cybersecurity vulnerability and asset repository. The ideal candidate will have experience programmatically connecting MongoDB to Power BI and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SLC). Additionally, experience with Python and scripting for data automation, and integrating Active Directory groups into asset roles is required.
Responsibilities:
- Data Integration and Onboarding:
- Programmatically integrate and onboard data from MongoDB into Power BI.
- Develop and maintain data connections to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Automate data loads using Python and scripting to streamline processes.
- Dashboard Development:
- Design and build intuitive user interface dashboards in Power BI for cybersecurity vulnerability and asset repository.
- Create dynamic and interactive visualizations to present complex data in an easily understandable format.
- Active Directory Integration:
- Integrate Active Directory groups into asset roles within Power BI.
- Manage user permissions and access controls based on Active Directory roles.
- Documentation and Training:
- Develop comprehensive documentation for data integration processes, dashboard usage, and maintenance.
- Create training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and stakeholders.
- Software Development Lifecycle:
- Apply a strong understanding of the SLC to manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business requirements and objectives.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on Power BI and MongoDB integration.
- Proven experience programmatically integrating MongoDB data into Power BI (beyond using Power BI Desktop).
- Hands-on experience with Python and scripting for data automation.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and M query language.
- Strong knowledge of MongoDB and its integration with other systems.
- Experience with Python and scripting for data processing and automation.
- Understanding of Active Directory and role-based access controls.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SLC) methodologies.
- Soft Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:
