Job Description:
Build an end-to-end solution with Power BI:
- Data query:
- Mastery of the PBI “Get data” step, including:
- Accessing any data source provided within PBI “Get data”
- SQL embedded queries
- Power Query Editor data transformations and query management
- Use of M script
- Query folding
- Direct SQL queries
- Transformations:
- Mastery of DAX
- Validation and debugging
- Maximizing performance
- Computes and aggregations to support the data model
- Data modeling, including expertise in:
- Schema design
- DAX analytic queries to filter, group, or summarize
- Implicit and explicit measures
- Calculated tables and columns
- Visualization and report development, including mastery in:
- Requirements definition
- Design and development of wireframes
- PBI visualizations
- Report navigation
- Interactions
- Drill throughs
- Dashboards
- Buttons, bookmarks, and selections
- PBI natural language question design
- Distribution, including experience with:
- PBI Workspaces
- PBI Apps
- Azure-based PBI report management
Skills:
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with data modeling tools and methodologies.
- Knowledgeable in database system applications, stored procedures and data warehousing.
- Intermediate or higher proficiency with SQL
- Strong professional skills in verbal and written communication, project management and consultation
- Knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in related skillsets
- Able to perform work that is varied and somewhat difficult in nature
- Able to perform work with minimal to moderate supervision; able to apply and interpret business rules and concepts in daily work
