Andworx is hiring a Power BI and Power Apps Developer to be a thought leader in creating rich data visualizations for our Federal client and within our growing company. We are looking for a motivated individual with a background in data analysis and an eye for creating visually pleasing dashboards that tell stories to enable data driven decisions. As a candidate, you should be experienced with creating reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and place a high importance on user experience, usability, and design. We’re looking for someone who is a hands-on doer that is as comfortable building beautiful data visualizations as they are in interacting with stakeholders to elicit requirements in an agile and iterative environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience creating data visualizations and reports using Microsoft Power BI with experience ingesting, manipulating, and building relationships with data from various feeds.
  • Experience creating low-code / no-code applications or cloud automations utilizing Power Apps or Power Automate on the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience presenting dashboard and quantitative data to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Familiarity with relational database architecture and navigating large data sets, querying sources such SQL Servers, SharePoint Lists, Excel Spreadsheets, 3rd party connectors, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate data and information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written, grammar, and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities or tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years' experience.
  • Successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust background security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certifications related to Power BI, database design, or data analysis.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as PL-300 or PL-400.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate or Power Apps), implementing solutions to business problems.

Responsibilities

As Power BI and Power Apps Developer, you will leverage your data analytics and user experience skills to construct visually pleasing, rich data visualizations showing your passion for visual story telling using Microsoft Power BI.

  • Create and build dashboards and reporting solutions that provide meaningful insight into areas of organizational interest.
  • Design, develop, and manage the implementation of solutions using Power Platform tools.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions with the user community to capture and define data requirements and end user needs clearly, completely, and correctly.
  • Identify, analyze, and translate business requirements and rules into intuitive analytical solutions, business scorecards and management dashboards.
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders to easily visualize data from multiple applications in a single platform.
  • Present dashboards and visualizations to stakeholders and organization leadership.
  • Troubleshoot Power BI environment problems and tune for performance to diagnose and resolve application bottlenecks and performance issues.
  • Define and apply user experience, user design, and visualization standards, styles, and best practices.
  • Create written and visual data reports and analysis.
  • Provide end-user training, technical demonstrations, and presentations to stakeholders.
