Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Senior Engineer to join our Post-Trade & Finance Technology team.
The Post-Trade & Finance Technology division is responsible for providing comprehensive and accurate transactional through robust reconciliation processes focusing on efficiency through automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and architecture for the Post-Trade platform, ensuring alignment with Tower’s overall technology direction while effectively weighing trade-offs.
- Architect, develop, and optimize tools for key areas such as Reference Data Management, Trade Capture, Reconciliation, P&L, Trade Cost Management, Surveillance, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting.
- Collaborate closely with Core Engineering to ensure consistency and integration across platforms.
- Work with global stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions, facilitating efficient execution of business functions.
- Drive the end-to-end design and development of projects/products, fostering innovation in building the next generation of middle-office and back-office applications.
- Advocate and implement process improvements, focusing on automation, better monitoring tools, and continuous integration/delivery practices.
- Ensure the architecture supports a data-intensive environment, optimizing for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in designing and improving complex information systems, with a strong emphasis on data-intensive architectures.
- Deep proficiency in both Java and Python, with experience in building and optimizing data ETL pipelines.
- Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes, with the ability to manage and optimize development environments within a CI/CD framework.
- Extensive experience with RDBMS, coupled with familiarity with NoSQL databases.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and communicate decisions and trade-offs decisively.
- Linux system administration skills, along with knowledge of shell scripting.
- Prior experience in the financial services domain is a strong plus
