The Role

The post-producer manages all facets of post-production, including video editing, audio mixing, color correction, motion graphics, retouching and finalization of media content. They create and execute streamlined post-production workflows, oversee a team of post-production experts (both internally and externally, consisting of editors, sound engineers, graphic designers, and coordinate schedules, workflows, and project deadlines. The post-producer effectively allocates resources to enhance post-production efficiency, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project completion.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in art or film studies.  A combination of work experience and education can be substituted.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in the advertising or film industry.  A combination of education and work experience can be substituted.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Media Encoder, and video compression techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Very good attention to detail and Quality Control
  • Confident, with great communication skills (written and verbal) at all operational and organizational levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet delivery deadlines.

  • Able to work under pressure and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in delegating tasks appropriately, providing guidance and support for smooth project execution.
  • Capable of adapting to a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

JOB DUTIES

POST-PRODUCTION

  • Coordinate with various teams involved in post-production, including editors, animators, sound designers, retouches and other specialists, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Work with the post-production team to update and manage the overall production schedule, ensuring that the requirements of the whole production team are considered.
  • Manage post-production resources and team capacity.
  • Develop and manage budgets for post-production projects, allocating resources appropriately. Create production schedules and timelines, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Streamline post-production processes to improve efficiency and productivity. Identify opportunities for automation or workflow enhancements to expedite project delivery.

TEAM LEADERSHIP:

  • Provide guidance and direction to the post-production team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that team members have the resources they need to succeed.
  • Anticipate and address any challenges or obstacles that arise during the post-production process. Develop solutions to technical issues, logistical concerns, or creative roadblocks to keep projects on track.
  • Generate reports on project status, expenses, and performance metrics as needed.
  • Work closely with other departments within the agency, such as creative, account management, and production, to ensure seamless integration of post-production services into overall project workflows.
