Job Title:Post Doctoral Scholar

Department:Engineering | Civil Environmental and Geodetic Engineering

The Post Doctoral Scholar will report to Assistant Professor Martina Leveni and will support research initiatives related to geothermal reservoir modeling and geospatial analysis. Responsibilities include developing stochastic reservoir models, conducting geospatial analyses of geothermal resources, and managing geospatial datasets and databases. The individual will also mentor graduate and undergraduate students, collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams, and contribute to publications, reports, and presentations.

Hiring Range: $61,008 - $65,000

Minimum Education Required Doctorate (Academic)

Required Qualifications Required: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and possess strong expertise in reservoir modeling, computational fluid dynamics, and related analytical methodologies, along with experience using geospatial analysis and mapping tools such as ArcGIS. Proficiency in programming languages including Python, MATLAB, or similar platforms is required, as well as experience managing and analyzing large, multi-source datasets. The candidate should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and project management abilities, and the ability to mentor and support students in a research environment. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are essential, including the ability to foster a collaborative and supportive research environment. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is also required.

Desired: The postdoctoral scholar should be highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects across institutional partners. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and institutional standards.
