The POS Developer works closely with Leads, Architects, QA, Sales teams, and business stakeholders to deliver and enhance POS functionality across pilot and production environments. Responsibilities include building POS features, configuring store and transaction setups, supporting integrations, resolving production issues during rollouts and BAU, and providing technical inputs for client proposals and solution discussions.
- Develop and configure POS application features for retail stores
- Implement POS transaction flows (sales, returns, exchanges, promotions)
- Integrate POS with payments, OMS, ERP, inventory, and sales audit systems
- Configure stores, registers, tenders, taxes, and receipts
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in SIT, UAT, and Production
- Support releases, deployments, upgrades, and rollback activities
- Ensure transaction accuracy and financial integrity
- Collaborate with QA, integration, operations, and sales teams
- Support Pre‑sales & Sales with technical inputs, estimates, and solution walkthroughs
- Maintain technical documentation and runbooks
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–8 years of hands‑on development experience on POS or retail store applications
- Strong understanding of POS transaction lifecycles and in‑store operations
- Experience with payments, tenders, pricing, promotions, taxes, and sales audit
- Working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and event‑based architectures
- Experience supporting high‑volume retail production systems
- Familiarity with version control, release management, and deployment processes
Nice to Have
- Experience with Aptos ONE / Aptos POS *
- Exposure to store rollouts, pilots, or multi‑store retail environments
- Omni‑channel retail experience (BOPIS, BORIS, ship‑from‑store)
- UK / Europe retail exposure (tax, fiscalization, compliance)
- Exposure to POS hardware and device ecosystems (MDM, printers, pin pads, scanners)
