Job Description

As a Portfolio Management Intern, you will support the Portfolio Management team in managing electricity, natural gas and environmental certificate portfolios. You will be responsible for maintaining the database of executed contracts, supporting profitability and market analyses, and developing automation tools that improve the daily work of commodity traders. This role offers hands-on exposure to energy markets, data analysis and quantitative decision-making in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the database of executed electricity, natural gas and environmental certificate contracts.
  • Support the preparation of electricity and natural gas market analyses.
  • Participate in profitability analyses across different business segments.
  • Support analyses of the impact of market variables on portfolio margins.
  • Prepare presentations, reports and management materials for the Company's Management Board.
  • Automating analytical tools and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with traders and portfolio managers to improve data quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in financial field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Statistics, Economics with quantitative focus).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an operational setting and communicate technical insights clearly.
  • Fluent in Polish and advanced proficiency in English.
  • Practical experience with Python / R for data analysis and modeling is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases is a plus.

Skills Required
