Portfolio Lead, Tandem

Offchain Labs has developed a suite of scaling solutions for Ethereum. This includes Arbitrum, an Optimistic Rollup, that instantly scales apps, reducing costs and increasing capacity, without sacrificing Ethereum's security. Porting contracts to Arbitrum requires no code changes or downloads since it’s compatible with existing Ethereum developer languages and tooling. Arbitrum today is the leading Ethereum scaling solution with dominant market share including hundreds of apps on the platform and over 40% of all rollup liquidity. Offchain labs also contributes to the Ethereum core protocol with the Prysm consensus client.

As the Portfolio Lead for Tandem, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of Tandem. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and supporting promising projects and teams, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and guidance to thrive – leading the end-to-end process for all portfolio teams. This role requires a deep understanding of the crypto landscape, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work across multiple teams and projects simultaneously.

What You’ll Do :

• Lead the identification and evaluation of potential projects and teams for inclusion into Tandem, assessing their technical merit, alignment with company objectives, and growth potential. 
• Manage end-to-end operations for the portfolio of projects, including: sourcing, project scoping, contract lifecycle, day-to-day consultation and long-term milestone tracking.
• Establish and maintain core theses for new project, product, or partner development, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, market structure, and alignment between emerging technologies and our existing product suite.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to partner teams, helping them navigate technical challenges, refine their ideas, and execute their vision.
• Act as a liaison between partner teams and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company goals and priorities.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within Tandem, facilitating knowledge-sharing, cross-team initiatives, and research collaborations.
• Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote Tandem and attract top talent.

Who You Are:

• Deep understanding of blockchain technologies and the crypto ecosystem, with a strong crypto-native mindset – Ideally having, at least one cycle’s worth of experience in crypto.
• Familiarity with the bleeding edge of crypto; active usage of crypto strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to work across multiple teams and projects simultaneously, with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a keen understanding of market trends, ecosystem dynamics, and emerging opportunities in the blockchain industry.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a high-growth technology company or startup environment is preferred.
