The Role
Leads strategy, planning, governance, resource allocation, market intelligence, and cross-functional execution for a pharmaceutical metabolism business unit. Oversees commercial performance, hospital business planning, OpEx optimization, portfolio expansion, product launches, capability development, and AI-enabled initiatives. Coordinates BU-level strategic projects, POA planning, leadership operating cadence, and communication across marketing, market access, sales, and other functions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement overall BU strategy, with consideration of current business priorities and future portfolio expansion. Solidify the business strategies with Marketing, Market Access and relevant functions to ensure the maximization of product and future portfolio value along lifecycle.
  • Conduct analysis of market landscape and competitive intelligence, provide insights to facilitate the strategic commercial decisions towards business targets
  • Lead planning and operation execution of important tactics at BU level, including development of Hospital business planning; preparing overall performance analysis and business review.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation across functions and sales team layers through guideline design; monitor actual OpEx spending by each sales level (e.g., MIC, DM, RM, etc) and by each function; rebalance OpEx spending across portfolios based on annual business strategic priorities. Streamline coordination and communication across BGs/ functions during the process.
  • Leads the strategy execution team to develop strategic plan, which covers products development, organizational structures as well as resources allocation and optimization.
  • Lead BU level cross-functional projects. Support strategic initiatives related to future portfolio expansion, asset introduction and business development opportunities.
  • Provide innovative capability development programs for all levels across sales, marketing and other functions in BU, while promoting AI fluency and advancing AI-enabled business initiatives to enhance decision-making, collaboration and operational excellence.
  • Lead BU POA planning, LT operating cadence and governance, coordinate with internal communications, and ensure effective tracking and execution of key business priorities across functions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education / Experience
BS/BA in Strategy, Finance, Marketing or similar fields, MBA preferred.
Skill Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in Marketing, Strategy, Business Planning, Commercial Operations, Market Access, PMO or related roles, with experience in leading consulting firms highly preferred, and emphasis on strategy, business management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultures and the agility to deliver results quickly in new and unfamiliar situations.
  • Proven track record of business experiences and know-hows for product launches, commercialization and business growth.
  • Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional projects with strong influencing skills.
  • Good understanding of China pharmaceutical industry, market dynamics and access environment.
  • Global view and mindset. Very fluent English communication in both written and oral.
  • Pfizer know-hows both at Global and China local level are highly preferred.
