This position directs the project management office and establishes a project governance framework to have a company-wide structured project management approach. The PMO oversees all program and project management responsibilities across the organization and ensures that projects and programs are aligned with the organization’s overall strategy. The PMO focuses on creating a framework of processes, governance, training modules, and mentoring programs that help project managers in daily operations.

Job Duties:

  • Manage, Develop, and lead the project management office (PMO)
  • Develop and implement the PMO's strategic plan, aligning it with the organization's overall strategic goals and objectives.
  • Define and enforce project management policies, procedures, and methodologies to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects.
  • Oversee the selection, prioritization, and management of projects within the organization's portfolio to ensure they align with strategic objectives.
  • Help allocate resources, both human and financial, to projects based on their importance and alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Ensure that project management best practices are followed, and quality standards are met in project delivery.
  • Facilitate the adoption of project management practices and methodologies across the organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor project progress and offer insights to project managers to keep projects on track.
  • Centralize project information and make it accessible to the right stakeholders.
  • Design and track various program and portfolio performance KPIs.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfers between departmental project team.
  • Ensure projects meet the set goals and requirements on time and within budget.
  • Oversee project planning, milestone management, scope management, resource forecasting.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfers between different project teams.
  • Develop and mentor PMO staff, helping them grow in their project management careers.
  • Ensure an efficient collaboration and communication framework among different projects.
  • Embrace agile methodologies and adaptive project management approaches to enhance project delivery.
  • Leverage advanced technologies and automation to streamline project management processes.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within project teams.
  • Encourage experimentation, creative thinking, and knowledge sharing to drive innovation in project delivery.
  • Leverage real-time project data to monitor performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

Requirements

Education:

BSc. in Computer Engineering, Telecom Engineering or related.

Years of Experience:

12 to 15 Years of experience in telecommunication, ISP or digital service provider industry, with 5 years in a project management office in a large enterprise.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Expert in project management skills including ability to define scope, manage stakeholders, manage schedule activity, manage change and communicate risks.
  • Expert in project governance and required tools
  • Manpower planning, scheduling shifts and staffing.
  • Proven track record of delivering technology-related business outcomes across a large, complex portfolio.
  • Presentation skills for coaching and communication at all levels.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive project documentation, reports, evaluations for internal and customer communication.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • TMforum Experience is highly recommended.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as TOFAG, ITIL, Cobit is highly recommended.
