Job Description
The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) is the implementation engine for Private Banking's discretionary investment business. PMG is responsible for implementing investment strategy, portfolio construction, and risk management across investment management and trust portfolios. PMG partners closely with Investment Strategy, Trading, Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to deliver investment solutions and support the evolving needs of our clients.
The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) Controls team serves as a strategic partner to the business, supporting governance, risk management, business transformation, and operational excellence across PMG.
Job Responsibilities
- Support PMG strategic initiatives focused on business transformation, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Partner across PMG, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Business Management to deliver key business priorities.
- Assist in the development of oversight tools, dashboards, and workflow solutions that improve transparency and scalability.
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve efficiency.
- Prepare management reporting, governance materials, and executive presentations.
- Support control testing, audit readiness, issue remediation, and governance activities.
- Participate in error reviews and trend analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist with requirements gathering, user testing, and implementation of strategic business and technology initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related discipline.
- 3-7 years of experience in Wealth Management, Financial Services, Risk, Controls, Operations, Project Management, or Business Management.
- Demonstrated solid understanding of investments with a keen interest in broadening knowledge of portfolio management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Interest in business transformation, process improvement, and technology-driven solutions.
