Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Teamcenter PLM system specialist to support and enhance our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment. This role is responsible for the administration, customization, upgrade and daily operational support of Siemens Teamcenter PLM application. The ideal candidate will represent the IT enterprise application team and work closely with the engineering stakeholders to ensure system reliability, performance and continuous improvement in alignment with the organization's goals.

Your mission during this flight: 

  • Administration & Configuration
    • Manage and maintain the Teamcenter PLM infrastructure including application servers, database and deployments.
    • Configure and manage user access, roles, privileges and workflow setup.
    • Take responsibility for the Solution architecture and Non-functional requirements of PLM ecosystem aiming to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
    • Monitor system health, performance and ensure uptime and availability.
  • Customization & Development
    • Develop and maintain customizations using ITK, RAC, BMIDE, SOA and other Teamcenter APIs.
    • Design and implement enhancements to align with evolving business processes
    • Maintain and improvise the integration of Teamcenter to ERP, CAD and other third-party applications
  • Upgrade & Patching
    • Plan, test and execute Teamcenter upgrades and patch installations with minimal downtime.
    • Manage data migration, schema updates and compatibility testing during upgrade cycles.
    • Coordinate with DevOps and IT support team for OS upgrades, VDI availability and client package distribution activities.
  • Daily Support & Issue Resolution
    • Provide daily operational support for PLM issues, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolutions.
    • Track the reported issues and align with the necessary stakeholders to investigate and provide resolution.
  • Collaboration & Best Practices
    • Work cross-functionally with engineering, DevOps, IT support and external support teams to ensure compliance, availability and adherence to operational requirements
    • Serve as a point of escalation for PLM-related issues and enhancements.
    • Establish and maintain application change management framework for PLM.
    • Promote best practices, standards and guidelines throughout the organization. Facilitate User Champion Training (UCT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in PLM (Siemens Teamcenter) system administration, implementation and management preferably in aerospace, automotive, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of PLM modules not only but also including requirements management, change management, BoM and BoP management, supplier management and Quality & compliance management.
  • Previous experience in Workflow designer, Active workspace configuration and integration platforms(T4S/T4EA).
  • Proficiency in Teamcenter ITK, C++., TCL Scripting and Java.
  • Proficiency with Windows server environments, oracle/sql server databases.
  • Solid understanding of product data and lifecycle processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, scripting and automation skills (Shell, PowerShell, Perl or Python).
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
