Perplexity is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our high impact Platform engineering team – the backbone of reliability and scalability for everything we build.

Responsibilities- Provide engineering leadership across multiple layers of a rapidly growing platform
- Set standards for reliability, code quality, testing, and maintenance
- Oversee onboarding and ensure code quality for a growing team
- Collaborate closely with AI research, Search and Product teams
- Develop rigorous interview pipelines and work closely with recruiting to source candidates
- Ability to design reusable and scalable systems and processes
- Ability to constructively identify technical debt
- Ability to cleanly resolve engineering blockers
- Strong organizational skills for managing and delivering parallel technical projects
- Experience leading foundational / platform teams
- Experience leveraging the right combination of open source and in-house solutions
- 8+ years of engineering experience
- 4+ years of engineering management experience
- Experience with building and operation large scale infrastructure
Our cash compensation range for this role is $250,000 - $300,000.
