. Proven experience with cloud & Big data platforms like Azure & Cloudera etc..
. Strong hands-on experience in azure PaaS services like Event Hub, Azure Functions, ADF, Databricks, Synapse, Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage(ADLS Gen2).
. Good to have experience in Dataiku, PowerBi & Tableau tools.
. Expertise in large-scale data platform implementations both on On-prem and Cloud platforms.
. Proficiency in modern development methodologies, tools, and practices (e.g., DevOps, GitOps, docker & Kubernetes services).
. Proven experience in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and infrastructure-as-code (IaaC) tools.
. Experience in building and maintaining highly available, secure, resilient and complex data platforms.
. Deep understanding of Azure networking, cybersecurity and inter-service security.
. Define and execute platform engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
. Develop and implement frameworks for scalable platform delivery adhering to best practices.
. Enhance and maintain platform capabilities to support cross-functional teams.
. Collaborate within agile teams to decompose platform requirements into actionable tasks.
. Collaborate with architects and technical leadership on roadmap evaluation and adoption of emerging tools/technologies.
. Lead a team of platform engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
. Conduct peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and alignment with platform standards.
. Take end-to-end ownership of the platform's technical aspects, ensuring quality, scalability, and reliability.
. Recommend and implement technical improvements, including design, testing, performance optimization, and adoption of new methodologies.
. Contribute to low-level platform architecture/technical design aligned with high-level solutions and business needs.
. Conduct cost optimization for Azure resources, ensuring budget alignment without compromising performance.
. Ensure platform documentation is regularly updated, accessible, and aligned with best practices.
. Advocate for adherence to SDLC frameworks and engineering principles to deliver robust platform solutions.
. Identify and introduce tools, frameworks, and processes to optimize platform engineering workflows.
. Actively participate in the Platform Engineering Chapter to drive modernization and maturity in platform capabilities.
. Drive technical excellence by promoting continuous learning and development.
