Job Title: Platform Engineer
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore

Impact &contribution: The network team in CBA Technology is responsible for world-leading network technology and operations across CommBank supporting our workforce across Australia and international locations. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and keen to share knowledge. We emphasise open communication, quality work and a culture of excellence.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Execute and support the Global Technology Services business unit with design, engineering and implementation of network security, to provide business value across multiple programmes and initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate issues or risks associated with the network security design or solution proposals
- Provide technical consulting and advice to projects to ensure alignment to Cyber Security, Network Architecture, and operational stability of CBA’s network assets.
- Practice engineering principles, patterns, standards and guidelines across projects and programmes
- Support transitioning target architecture from current to desired state
- Contribute to the squad's vision and strategy and ensure work is aligned.
- Apply cyber security risk and threat modelling fundamentals to activities.
- Provide feedback on effectiveness of target solution architecture
- Work within a team environment and across business units to complete associated tasks
- Remain across emergent IT services that may benefit the Group’s strategic direction
- Produce high quality, sustainable solutions to meet business requirements, leveraging approved delivery frameworks.
- Influence and guide stakeholders to ensure that solutions are robust, secure and highly available.
- Uplift the quality of technical solutions by applying industry best practice.
- Technical governance of project delivery to ensure successful delivery and adoption.
- Role model continuous improvement mindset in team and project interactions
Essential skills:
- Experience with technology in a large organization.
- Experience in IT design, implementation, operation and management
- Minimum 5 years of IT network experience
- Hands-on experience in DevOps, Ci-CD pipelines and network automation, with expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible or PowerShell
Desirable:
- Be familiar with Zero Trust Network Access and SASE model
- Experience within the Financial Service industry
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
