Job Title: Platform Engineer
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore
Business & Team: CTO- SNS
Impact &contribution: The network team in CBA Technology is responsible for world-leading network technology and operations across CommBank supporting our workforce across Australia and international locations. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and keen to share knowledge. We emphasise open communication, quality work and a culture of excellence.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Manage escalation of technical issues from suppliers, operations and application teams
- Author implementation plans and configuration of network security changes into CBA’s network services and devices and execution of changes outside of regular business hours
- Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.
- Contribute to the documenting of current infrastructure services.
- Actively contribute to improvements in our processes and procedures
- Work with project teams to understand network connectivity.
- Ensure all services within the IT service portfolio are managed with consideration to network, capacity, platform, sociability/scalability factors and target architecture
Essential skills:
- Minimum 5 years of IT network experience
- Experience with technology in a large organization.
- Experience in IT design, implementation, operation and management
- Mandatory knowledge and demonstrated experience of Cisco Switches (Nexus and IOS), Routers and Firewalls.
- Desirable experience in F5 LTM and DNS VMWare NSX, and Azure/AWS network security group enforcement policies and firewall management.
- Discovery and validation of network performance requirements using enterprise tools such as Algosec, vRealise Network Insight, Splunk, Azure VSTS, and AWS VPC flow logs, R53, Cloud redirect and CloudFront, SolarWinds, Qualys, and Infoblox.
- Experience with design & deploy SD-WAN solutions across Palo Alto, Check Point & Cisco.
- Experience with Zero Trust Network Access and SASE model.
- Understanding of integrating to public cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure, and hybrid cloud network integration.
- Demonstrated understanding and design of core switching and routing technologies such as VXLAN, VPN, BGP, EIGRP, IPSEC, and OSPF. Understanding of corporate technology processes e.g. ITIL
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
