Role Summary
Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.May use common development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
Key Responsibilities
Embedded Software Development
- Design and develop software on Linux-based USRP Processing Subsystem.
- Develop FPGA register access services and hardware abstraction layers.
- Implement configuration and management frameworks.
- Develop secure remote software upgrade mechanisms.
- Integrate UHD APIs and RFNoC frameworks.
SDR Platform Integration
- Interface PS software with FPGA PL blocks.
- Manage radio initialization and calibration flows.
- Implement streaming control and IQ transport management.
- Support timing and synchronization (GPSDO/PTP/PPS).
Networking
- Develop high-performance Ethernet software.
- Support 10G/100G interfaces.
- Implement eCPRI/O-RAN transport connectivity.
- Debug packet latency and throughput issues.
Job Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming on Linux-based embedded platforms, including device drivers, hardware abstraction layers (HAL), and system-level software development.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA-software integration, SDR platforms (USRP/UHD/RFNoC), register access mechanisms, and radio initialization/calibration workflows.
- Solid knowledge of high-speed networking technologies, including Ethernet (10G/100G), TCP/IP, packet processing, eCPRI/O-RAN transport, and performance optimization for latency and throughput.
- Experience in secure software upgrade frameworks, timing and synchronization technologies (GPSDO, PTP, PPS), and debugging complex embedded systems involving FPGA, RF, and networking components
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline with 7+ years of experience in embedded software development
