Role Overview
Evergreen Wealth is looking for a visionary Platform Architect to design and evolve our cloud infrastructure, enabling secure, scalable, and compliant services. You’ll define the foundational architecture that supports high-throughput applications, data systems, and emerging AI-driven capabilities.
This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on platform design, infrastructure scalability, and security-by-design, ideal for someone who can think holistically about cloud-native architecture while staying hands-on enough to guide implementation for modern AI workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain secure, high-availability AWS infrastructure across multi-account environments
- Define reference architectures for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), networking, observability, and CI/CD pipelines
- Provide architectural guidance for data-heavy and compute-intensive systems, including AI/ML workloads (e.g., real-time inference, model integration)
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enable real-time services and intelligent features
- Oversee SRE responsibilities: performance optimization, observability strategy, incident response readiness
- Lead SecOps initiatives: threat modeling, security automation, compliance alignment (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Drive FinOps practices: cost visibility, optimization strategies, and budget governance for cloud resources
- Conduct vendor/tooling due diligence for third-party integrations
- Guide adoption of best practices in container orchestration (ECS/EKS), disaster recovery, and infrastructure governance
- Stay current on cloud, security, and AI infrastructure trends and bring forward pragmatic, value-adding innovations
- 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps roles, including 2+ years as a cloud/platform architect
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS (IAM, VPC, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Lambdas, Bedrock, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency withTerraform and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions preferred)
- Strong understanding of modern SDLC principles and how to implement them in a cloud-native environment
- Familiarity with AI/ML system design(e.g., LLMOps, inference pipelines, scalable model deployment)
- Experience supporting compliance goals such as SOC 2
- Experience with ephemeral environments and multi-environment deployment strategies
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, systems-thinking mindset
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) - nice to have
- Kubernetes experience/certifications - nice to have
