Heidelberg Materials Benelux is currently looking for a

PLANT PURCHASER

to join the team of Lixhe.

 

Your role:

Heidelberg Materials Benelux is looking for an experienced Plant Purchaser to manage and optimize end-to-end procurement activities within a technical manufacturing environment in one of Cement plants Lixhe.

In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations while building strong partnerships with suppliers. Your practical, solution-oriented mindset and ability to operate effectively in a hands-on industrial setting will be critical to ensuring supply continuity, operational efficiency, and cost competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You manage the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and supplier selection to contract management and performance monitoring.

  • You negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers.

  • You select, develop, and manage supplier relationships and performance.

  • You partner with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to support operational needs and build a strong understanding of plant operations.

  • You identify cost-saving opportunities and drive procurement improvements.

  • You collaborate with internal stakeholders, multiple sites, and external partners to ensure supply continuity.

Your profile:
  • 5 to 8 years of procurement experience within a  technical, industrial, manufacturing, or engineering-driven environment.

  • Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve commercial results.

  • Master or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • French C2 and English min B1

  • Strong knowledge of SAP (preferably S/4HANA) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Teams is an asset.

  • Willingness to travel regularly between headquarters in Braine L’Alleud, production sites, and supplier locations.
