We’re currently seeking a General Operative to join the small team at our Cardiff Concrete Plant.
Position Overview:

If so and you’re interested in operating mobile plant machinery we believe we have the perfect opportunity for you! We’re currently seeking a General Operative to join the small team at our Cardiff Concrete Plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre start inspections of the static and mobile plant.
- Loading of our aggregate bins.
- Unloading of sand from our ship on the wharf.
- Loading of sand onto tippers for distribution to other sites.
- Loading of site production waste for disposal.
- Raw material stock and quality control.
- Basic plant maintenance.
- Ownership of the site yard and traffic control.
- General housekeeping duties.
- Enforcing site rules and procedures ensuring compliance.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- A full UK Driving Licence – owing to the location of the site you will need to be able to drive your own vehicle or otherwise be able to reliably get yourself to work on time.
- A genuine interest in the construction materials industry, specifically an interest in driving heavy mobile plant machinery.
- It would be great if you've already got experience operating a Loading Shovel and please let us know if you do! However for the right candidate we’ll also support your development with in-role training; whereby you will achieve a Level 2 Plant Operations NVQ diploma qualification.
