Job Responsibilities:
Overall Commercial and Financial Lead for related Manufacturing Business in Division Mesa (especially responsible for P&L and Balance Sheet, financial contract execution). Business Partner of GM and Executive Leadership Team and divisional representative to the customer for all daily financial topics
Your Responsibilities:
1. Management Finance & Controlling function Div. Mesan:
- Lead all financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for the Mesa Division.
- Manage and improve cost accounting processes, including bill of materials (BOM), routings, inventory valuation, and variance tracking (labor, material, overhead)
- Ensure compliance with Magna internal controls, corporate policies, and GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.
- Oversee and support external and internal audits, SOX compliance, and tax/legal documentation requirements.
- Responsible for annual business plan and quarterly forecasts • Manage Accounting, Treasury and CAPEX processes
- Monthly month-end closing and controlling of Division Mesa
- EBIT Responsible for Divisions 1301 (as Business Partner in collaboration with BU lead resp. GM)
- Ensuring that all financial activities comply with internal and external regulations ("compliance") and corresponding cooperation with internal and external audit
2. Business Partner:
- Taking measures to secure (financial) risks and identifying opportunities to maximize profitability
- Identifying and implementing efficiency improvement measures and cost reduction potentials
- Close collaboration with the GM, executive management, and departments to ensure that financial-related topics are comprehensively represented • Develop monthly financial reporting packages and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support management decisions.
- Collaborate with program management teams to track and forecast program profitability, launch investments, and customer commercial impacts. • Manage the controlling calendar and interface with the Magna Corporate Finance team to ensure timely and accurate group-level submissions
3. Customer & Program specific topics:
- Ensuring contractual (financial) Services are provided in accordance with the contract: • e.g. price reconciliations and adjustments, special settlements, project settlements
- Negotiating daily business topics with customers
4. Team Management: • Leading & Training Finance Team
- Lead, train, and develop a small team of finance/controlling professionals; promote cross-training and career development.
- Personal Development and Mentoring
- Performance Management, Succession Planning and Talent Management.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred
- Finance expert with a minimum of 5 yrs related operational experience within Accounting & Controlling (7 Years experience)
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, manufacturing accounting, and ERP systems; SAP preferred (7 Years experience)

- MBA
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
