Key Responsibilities:
- Full Cycle General Ledger Accounting:
- Record, review, and analyze all journal entries related to manufacturing operations.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of the general ledger in accordance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile ledger accounts on a periodic basis to maintain data integrity.
- Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Lead and coordinate the month-end close process, including accruals, amortizations, and inventory adjustments.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and standards.
- Assist with the year-end closing procedures, including audit preparation and supporting schedules.
- Cost Accounting & Inventory Management:
- Monitor and analyze production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead, ensuring alignment with JIT principles.
- Support inventory cycle counts, physical audits, and reconciliation of inventory accounts.
- Validate inventory valuation based on JIT inventory flow and costs.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare internal management reports highlighting variances and financial trends.
- Support plant budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis initiatives.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations:
- Perform detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies timely.
- Maintain documentation and audit trail for all reconciliations.
- Cost Control & Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and engineering to identify cost efficiencies.
- Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives related to accounting or inventory management.
- Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audit activities with accurate and complete documentation.
- Collaborative Support:
- Work closely with plant operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial data.
- Provide financial insights and support managerial decision-making.
