As a Planning Lead you will assist the teams by gathering client requirements, developing project timelines in collaboration with the specialists in Art, Game Design and Software Engineering and working with Business Development to ensure that proposals will stand out and get sent out in a timely manner. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring quality, collaboration, and communication. The Planning Lead have a mix of strategic acumen, creative instinct and analytical ability that can translate data and ideas into actionable plans that benefit our projects.
As a Planning Lead, you will:
- Manages and oversees the process of approving new client requests
- Ensures the project team is effective in delivering on-time, within budget, and with the desired quality, organizing, monitoring, and effectively tracking the development of proposals
- Works in collaboration with dedicated producers and/or head of department and is bridge to Business Development.
- Establishes roadmaps for game experiences, technological advancements and art production, aligning with the broader goals of Kokku.
- Identifies dependencies and works through requirements across various teams.
- Partners with stakeholders to shepherd features through planning and ensuring the original request and vision is upheld.
- Works with Production on preparing resource planning for future projects and leads the handover once a contract has been signed.
- Manages relationships with contractors and vendors
- Identifies and recruits talented freelance artists and specialists to augment in-house art production capabilities.
- Negotiates contracts, rates, and terms with art and engineering contractors, ensuring fair and competitive compensation
- Takes responsibility for team organization, organizing meetings, discussions, feedback, and communication
- Proven experience in production for games or equivalent industry (film, animation, etc.).
- Understanding of pipelines for games.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to estimate, plan, and track production schedules and budgets.
- Knowledge of game development processes and tools. Knowlege of Prject Management methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Game Production, Art, Design, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Portuguese and English.
