Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Planning Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, analyze schedule performance, identify potential risks, and recommend data-driven solutions to keep projects on track.   • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives
  • Monitor project progress and analyze critical path activities to identify schedule variances and potential delays
  • Prepare comprehensive progress reports, look-ahead plans, schedule updates, and performance metrics for stakeholder review
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions to mitigate project delays
  • Coordinate planning activities with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration and resource optimization
  • Review and evaluate contractor schedules for compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations
  • Support project controls activities by tracking key performance indicators and providing data-driven insights for decision-making
  • Participate in feasibility studies and master planning initiatives to support strategic project development
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards

Qualifications

**Education:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field

**Experience:**

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in planning engineering or project controls
  • Demonstrated expertise in master planning, strategic planning, and feasibility studies
  • Proven experience in schedule development, progress measurement, and project controls on complex projects
  • Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines

**Technical Skills & Tools:**

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques and best practices
  • Proficiency in schedule risk analysis and mitigation strategies
  • Solid understanding of project management principles, resource allocation, and budget management
  • Experience with technical report writing and data analysis

**Soft Skills:**

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to evaluate complex scenarios and recommend solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to create clear, compelling presentations for diverse audiences

  • Familiarity with project management information systems (PMIS) and integrated project delivery models
