STV, Inc. currently has an opening in our Philadelphia office for a Junior Planner in our Transportation division.
Planner responsibilities:
The candidate will be expected to perform entry level planning duties such as:
- Planning, implementation and management of a number of collaborative studies and projects for multiple clients
- Writing and editing reports, studies and associated documents
- Working closely with STV team members and clients to prioritize and execute initiatives
- and activities
- Preparing for and attending meetings with clients, the public, and others
- Note-taking for project meetings; possibly at client locations Production of maps and graphics to support client deliverables and meetings
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Applicant must demonstrate:
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of organization
- Excellent professional technical writing skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Ability to get things done correctly and timely with minimal guidance
- Ability to organize work and effectively manage time
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Resourcefulness when responding to time sensitive situations
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- Experience with Microsoft suite (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Prefer Experience with using GIS, Sketch-up, CAD, and graphic software packages
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required. Degrees in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Public Administration, Geography, Architecture, or related fields are preferred
- 0 - 3 years of fulltime, professional planning experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ArcGIS required. Proficiency in Adobe Suite strongly preferred
Compensation Range:
