AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Planner II to join our Planning East Team based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The ideal candidate will support the planning, development, and implementation of comprehensive transportation systems.
• Prepare reports, forecasts, and technical documents to support transportation studies and guide project decision-making.
• Conduct research, data collection, and analysis related to, urban planning, resiliency, emerging technologies, traffic flow, and mobility patterns using tools such as travel demand modeling and GIS.
• Collaborate with government agencies, communities, and private sector clients, working to ensure project outcomes address the needs of diverse populations.
• Analyzes zoning requirements, traffic and/or environmental impact of projects.
• Provides written and graphic input for technical memo, feasibility studies, proposals and project status reports.
• Coordinates graphic exhibit preparation and/or other portions of a planning project.
• Coordinates technical work requirements with internal disciplines.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EXPERIENCE: Relevant research or professional experience is preferable.
• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field with graduate level studies preferred
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to develop technical writings and reports.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and policies.
