As a Material Planner III, you will ensure that materials and schedules are aligned with production goals. Your extensive experience will help optimize supply chain operations, prevent material shortages, and drive efficiencies across the board. You will guide less experienced planners and collaborate with high-level stakeholders.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) reviews and maintain strict revision control within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

  • Oversee the creation and processing of sales orders, manufacturing orders, and purchase requisitions/purchase orders.

  • Allocate raw and finished goods to meet intricate production and delivery schedules.

  • Monitor and optimize material levels to prevent shortages and scheduling delays.

  • Manage firm planned, released, and in-shop manufacturing orders to ensure seamless production operations.

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex material and scheduling issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and execute supply chain schedules.

  • Develop and maintain advanced supply chain schedules for optimal order and delivery planning.

  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to plan and control inventory, production, and procurement activities, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Lead initiatives to improve material planning processes and mentor junior planners.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field of study.

  • 4+ years of experience in a related field.

  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.

  • Exposure to the engineering change process.

  • Intermediate understanding of master production planning.

  • Intermediate understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics.

  • Familiarity with applicable manufacturing drawings.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • APICS certification or equivalent.

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

  • Experience with Program Management.

  • Technical/Engineering degree.

  • Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as it applies to Supplier Management.

  • Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs regularly.

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

  • Requires standing for a significant portion of the work shift.

  • Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • Must be able to work in an office or hybrid environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
