Job Responsibility:
- Pre-season
- Lead assortment pitchback session, get alignment with Sports Sales Director, Store merch and Sales team to balance biz and buzz
- Deliver a qualified SKU-level assortment plan by door clusters base on APS, selling weeks and sell-thru forecast, align key style depth planning methodology internally
- Drive concept Hindsight, summarize highlights and learnings, define risks and opportunities. Align planning guiding principle with X-function team
- Build distinguish assortment plan for concept top doors to fulfill specific consumer need
- Build/refine a style-level plan to color based on marketplace strategies and opportunities; ensure plan reconciles with topline financial plan developed by the MFP
- In-season
- Lead period analysis, including but not limited to SKU-level sell through to influence current and future seasons.
- Recommend actions to cross function partner based on sales performance
- Post-season
- Recap the performance of the assortment including sell-through, color performance, and SKU productivity
- Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders SSD/Merchandising/Sales/Sports planning for future season planning
- Recap performance of key retail moments to provide insights for future planning
Job Qualifications:
- Buying, Planning, Assortment Planning experience with other apparel / footwear
- Comprehensive understanding of retail math
- Ability to create reports, style-level sales plans, track promotional calendar/events and pre-meeting prep
- Strong and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence others
- Advanced knowledge of MS office applications; proficiency in Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions
- Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business
